My FIL owns an olive plantation (120 trees) and every year, usually by the end of November, we pick olives during the weekends. These olive trees are on a beautiful sunny hill side rising above the Dragonja river. The only sounds you can here there are the birds. It is tiring but enjoyable at the same time. It is almost like meditation time for me. This winter was harsher than our usual winters, and the year was drier than the usual year. Because of the cold and the drought our crop this year was cut in half; some others lost 90% of their usual crop. I only took my cell phone with me but the pics turned out quite nice.

oh, what a beautiful place! thank you for sharing your parents' and the olive plantation with us!
What a beautiful place, you know my great-grandfather built a stonewall like that and I saw it. It still stands, so many years later. I love that you shared your parent's picture with us.
How beautiful!
I love olives...is the crop used by the family or sold locally?
