Labour Day

On May 1st we celebrate Labour Day. There are many events, but bonfires on the evening before and barbecues on May 1st are what we are most used to. The best part of it though is to have 2 days off work (May 1st and the 2nd) :))) We were invited to celebrate this special day by a friend of ours and we really enjoyed spending the afternoon in the countryside. The bonfire certainly was welcome as it was quite chilly.

Eve, you can eat the acacia flowers raw and fried. They taste ... flowery, sweet. I can recommend them:)

Great pictures, I could almost feel the heat coming off that fire! I have never eaten flowers, I suppose that should go on my "bucket list".

Thanks for commenting on my blog today, everyone is so helpful with my nerves about it.
