The blanket of snow

We almost never get any snow here on the coast and if we do, it is 1 cm that never survives more than an hour - so you can imagine our joy when we got 10-15 cm overnight! They did predict the snow but we never could have imagined we'd get that much. My husband woke me early in the morning so I could go take some photos while the blanket of now was still intact :) At first I didn't even believe it really snowed, less alone that we got more than 10 cm! But curiosity did get me and I was outside snapping photos in less than 5 minutes. Forgive the amount of pics- it is unlikely that I'll have the possibility to show you photos like this in the future.

Beautiful pictures, awesome even. Unusual to see the snow on the roses. I believe my favorite one is the lone bird sitting fluffed up in the tree. Bet that surprised him!
