Srečno Novo leto everyone!

I spent the morning of the last day of 2011 at the cat shelter where I enjoyed every minute Sure, it is a lot of work to tend to 20+ cats, administer a few antibiotics, clean the entire place, feed the hungry mouths but the love I receive in return is priceless. Say hi to our furry angels who are in need of new homes.

Wishing everybody a healthy and happy New Year.
May it be beyond your expectations.

Merry Christmas

I only have a few wishes this year: that we could all enjoy good health and that all the animals in need find their someone who will help them and love them forever (Santa, I promise, I was good).

Merry Christmas to all of my blogging friends, to all of their families (two legged and four legged) from me and my furry angels.

Winter has come to the fairytale village

My good friend Melody calls the village where my mother was born and raised, Poljane, a fairytale village. And the description fits it perfectly. Not many people live there now, but my parents renovated my grandparents house and now they have added a summer kitchen, too. We went to see it and were pleasantly surprised by fresh snow. Not much but just enough to make everything look like it fell under a magic spell. I love winter, I love the snow and I love getting up close to this wonder of nature.

Now I can't even move the mouse as Gris has occupied the mouse pad and is very attentively watching me type this. Or maybe he is reading this as I write... I think he just noticed a mistake.... he keep hitting the "delete" key :))

What do you see?

And then there were two

Tammy was adopted and she will share her life with 2 other cats, 2 dogs, a guinea pig and a canary. Her new human is a friend of mine and she is great to her pets so I have absolutely no worries for the well being of that furry little creature. We do miss her but Ris and Gris keep us occupied and smiling. Ris is getting more courageous by the day and when he's about to go to sleep, he climbs up my leg and settles between my neck and shoulders, always checking if my nose is clean before he makes sure he is nice and tidy before he turns in. He can warm my neck for hours and I'd rather not be able to stand up after than to move and disturb him (something I am sure all cat owned people know about). Gris on the other hand prefers to sleep on my legs. He also likes to snooze on the living room table where the lap top usually is and he helps me typing... he is especially found of the "delete" button.
Snoozing on Pupa's blanket - I have to wash it after as Pupa won't sleep on it if it "smells" after these two...

You were going to wait till Christmas? Really?

Here, let me help you!
